Caska is located in the western part of Pag Bay, in the immediate vicinity of the town of Novalja.
In this small place rich in history, there was once Cissa, a Roman city which, according to historians, sank in the 4th century as a result of an earthquake.
Today, only a few houses are located in Caska Bay, but a submerged city lies on its seabed.
While diving, remains of buildings can be found, although most of the submerged city is inaccessible due to large deposits of mud, sand, and seagrass.
Among historical landmarks, the old tower (Tunera) – a tuna observation tower – and the remains of the Romanesque church of Sv. Jurja on the hill above Caska stand out. The small local population is engaged in agriculture (cultivation of vines, olives, fruit, and vegetables) and tourism.
